Level 1, 7722 course
This course was originally titled 'first steps' and
this neatly describes the course. Ideal for those
who are either new to embroidery or perhaps
are making the transfer from cross stitch

The course all embroiderers aspire to
achieve. In ten modules the course sees
you sample all the major embroidery
techniques, as well as work on quilting,
appliqué and machine embroidery

STUMPWORK
EMBROIDERY COURSES

We offer three levels of Stumpwork
course all developed by City & Guilds

Level 1, 7722 course
In three modules this course is ideal for those
who are completely new to stumpwork, perhaps
have seen it in a magazine and liked the look
of the raised components. Or perhaps have
made one or two pieces and want to know more.

In seven modules the level 2 course is ideal if
you are keen to extend your techniques,
and perhaps start working more creatively.

Level 3, 7922 course
This very popular course was introduced in
2004, in ten modules it included all the
techniques from the level 2 but enlarges upon
them and encourages the student to push their
creativity further than ever.

COURSES

In three modules this course is ideal for those
who are completely new to machine work.

In ten modules the level 3 course is ideal for those who have some skills with the sewing machine, either through completing the level 1 or 2 course or perhaps have used the machine with confidence in other area, soft furnishings maybe or dress making.

* It must be stressed that a reliable machine in which you
can lower or cover the feed dogs, and has either a quilting,
spring or embroidery foot, is needed, for any of the
machine embroidery courses.
