The Gardens are gorgeous at any time of year, the fee for the workshop includes your entrance to the Gardens, so you will have a chance at the end of the day for a stroll, you could even have lunch in the range of facilities.

Fabric Collage 13th March
Create a magical picture of a loved object, easy and compulsive, no sewing skills needed.

Postcards with an edge 17th April
Popular idea from across the pond. Fabric postcards using a variety of techniques, appliqué, overlaying, cutback to start the list. Machine or hand equally successful, make two and post one.

The Perfect Cushion 1st May
From patchwork to appliqué, easy to difficult, make in a day a cushion you will not want to see sat on!

Learn how to spin 15th May
Preparing the fleece, carding and spinning all covered in this day, take home a drop spindle and a bag of wool, easy to learn and very relaxing.

Fabric flowers 29th May
For corsages, bags, hats and just to sit and be admired.

Spinning the next Step 5th June
Plying and spinning a smooth yarn and how to measure yarn for certain projects. Novelty yarns and fancy threads covered.

Inspired by William De Morgan 19th June
Using the designs housed in the Victoria & Albert Museum we will make a reverse appliqué panel, choose Hares, Cranes, Turtles or any of a host of beasts to make a stunning hanging or maybe a cushion.

Quilt in a day 3rd July
Yes you can make a quilt in just the day, a fun and fast technique.

Weaving 17th July
Get to grips with your warp and weft, take home a free frame loom, tapestry techniques will be explored.

From any fabric make the perfect tote!

In praise of the Amish 7th August
Make an Amish inspired cushion or wallhanging, the perfect antidote to all those floral fabrics.

Create a delightful wallhanging exploring traditional and easy to master stitches, come and sort your wheatear from your fly!

Inspired by the Indus 4th September
Taking as inspiration a piece of Indian embroidery from my collection, students will use their machines to produce a panel, cushion or bag in reverse appliqué adding beads and shisha mirrors.

Jewell encrusted walnuts, herb tussie mussies and clove studded oranges.

All workshops are on a Sunday and run from 11am - 4pm.
